It all began with a single question: “When you stopped using drugs, how did you get rid of the craving?” I had to stop and think. Though I have been asked many questions over the years about how I got off drugs, this was a new one. As I pondered the question and shared my experience, the steps that formed the basis of this book began to unfold. Just as there were those who were an answer to a prayer for me on the road to recovery, I pray that through this book, I can also be an answer for someone else along the way.
