I like that the author narrated the book! The stories were more captivating and memorable coming from Vernon Jordan!

I loved hearing Vernon Jordan‘s life journey, stories, civil rights experiences, trials, and about his personal family life from childhood to adulthood.

American History that’s missing from most American schools

Frank perspective of what it’s like to be black in America and the story of a brilliant strategist and skilled agent of change for all of America. Excellent story teller.

An Amazing listen, inspiring, motivating and uplifting. This book/memoir is simply incredible, particularly if you enjoy learning about the history of Civil Rights from an insiders viewpoint and from someone that was there. You’re in very good company with Vernon Jordan, jr.
