Witty Romance with a Heartbreaking Past

This is a cute story of a man doing what he can to help the woman he wants heal from a heartbreaking past. It is full of witty sexual innuendos that range from "Fall off your chair" funny to "fan yourself" hot. It was nice to read a witty love story where someone with such a tragic past is still able to have a sense of humor and find love.

The audio book narration was great! Meghan does a great job voicing all of the characters. Her male POV may be one of my favorites done by a woman!

Great listen

Starts out fun and cute but gains depth! A relatable heroine for anyone who has ever felt unworthy. Great read!

The story and the narrator was an surprising and delightful listen. Couldn’t stop listening to this book. It’s a must listen to book.

This was an incredible book I really enjoyed listening to it. It was a roller coaster of emotions and had me hooked to hear what happened next, this was my first book of Megan Kelly and wont be my last!!! I recommend as a must read!! Thank you for the awesome book Audiobook Obsession Review group!

Ember has walls up due to her tragic past. Colton breaks down her walls thru sarcasm and teasing. Taking time slowly , Ember thinks she's not good enough for him.. This story talks about sexual abuse, drug abuse, and their after effects on family.

Loved this!

Fantastic story and characters, really enjoyed this listen. Plenty of humor and nailed the pitfalls of online dating. Fantastic performance by the narrator, she brought the characters and story to life with emotion and use of tone. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Colton for the most part

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I thought this was going to be more of a rom-com based on the blurb and that wasn't what the story was at all. It was pretty dark. Colton started out as cocky and arrogant, but then became kind of needy and really wanted a lot of sex from someone going through what she was going through.

Have you listened to any of Meghan Kelly’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not. I thought she did a good job, but I think the book would have benefited from also having a man reading Colton's parts.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I had a hard time with this story. The characters were hard for me to love and the story was a lot different than what I thought it was when I picked up the book. I thought the narrator did a good job, but I think the story would have benefited from a man reading Colton's part since there was a change of POV at the chapters. It was an OK read.

No Realistic

This book was not realistic. What woman would actually do all the stupid things that she did to run a rich, handsome, devoted man away?
Nome that I know. I actually got tired of her.

UnMatchable

I absolutely loved this storyline, of course the heroine has several issues to work through. Her personality is great, and her journey throughout the story is deeply moving. It will have you riding that emotional roller coaster, and it’s worth the ride to get to an epic ending! Meghan did a great job with this book.

Great Performance!!

Meghan Kelly's narration portrayed every emotion to perfection, which makes of this story a whole different experience than the one you may have when reading the book, exactly what happend to me.

The story turns out to be a bit dark at times and while in the description Ember is portrayed as strong and in charge, someone that takes no B.S. from anyone, sadly she's quite the opposite. However, listening to Meghan Kelly I had the chance to understand Ember's struggles.

The performance is deserving of 5 Shining Stars.
