Publisher's summary

They heard the earth-shaking wail come out of the trees announcing to everyone that he was there and coming for them. The forest dropped to a heart pounding silence leaving them suffocating for the familiar sounds of the forest.

The wilderness around Redwood, Washington, is vast but it is not empty. It holds a terrible secret, buried under layers of myth and legend. A broken down fence stands alone in the forest to mark the border of the unknown - a line no man will cross for decades.

Hank Tomkins knows the truth but swore never to reveal it. The secret must stay hidden to protect his town, his reputation, and his sanity. Now, 35 years later, a group of young outdoorsmen have vanished and now have threatened to expose the secret. Hank will have to sacrifice friendships, respect, and even his life if he wants to keep his vow of secrecy.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this. But it was great. Well paced. Action packed. Well written with good narration.

One of the best

I read this book years ago when I was in college. I have read many books but few have really stuck with me like this one has. Easily up there with Meg: a novel of deep terror as one of the BEST creature horrors. Probably the best Bigfoot horror book imo. The narrator was also pretty solid.

A good B story

I read the reviews about how the characters didn't have much depth. Imagine a B horror movie from the 80s, those are the characters you get. I rolled my eyes a few times, but it was still a fun story. It had lot of potential and the author could've had a series on his hands.

Good story

Good story, just dragged with useless and irrelevant details in the beginning. A different take on a Squatch book.

One of the better Bigfoot stories

I enjoyed the story start to finish. A solid plot and enjoyable characters. I will say that the ending left me wanting more and seemed a tad abrupt. Roberto Scarlato did an excellent job narrating the book. Overall I loved the book and recommend it to anyone!

This was a great thriller. I loved the storyline, the mystery, the intrigue the anticipation, I couldn’t put this book down.
I was excited to see what was going to happen the entire book.
The narration was amazing. Roberto Scarlato absolutely nailed each character, old, young, male or female his ability to tell a story is brilliant.
