About this listen

Heroing is a tough gig...

When 17-year-old Daniel Nickers gains superhuman abilities, he believes his dream of becoming a superhero will finally come true.

But life isn't like the comic books and the job's harder than he expected. He's constantly in mortal danger as crime in his city soars. He can't control his powers, and he's faced with criminals who act instead of giving speeches about their plans.

If that weren't enough, a new supervillain named Crusher is gathering all the city's criminals together into one organization. Their first order of business is to eliminate the pesky superhero who is the city's only protector.

Daniel must learn to use his powers to stop Crusher before the villain can implement his mysterious master plan, or all that Daniel cares about could be lost - including his own life.

So annoyed that Audible doesn’t have the rest of the series!

This book was so much fun to listen to. I love super hero books and this one is up there with the best for me. If you like this book try The Outlaw by Alan Janney which is another series with missing audiobooks because Audible will not do them no matter how many times I ask. Please Audible Please get the rest of this series soon!

This was so much fin the listen to

I loved the narration, it made an enjoyable book even better. The character voices are excellent and the delivery is dynamic but natural.

This book is perfect for anyone who likes superhero stories, especially when the person is not someone you would expect to become a superhero.

The characters are a highlight of this story, Daniel and Amy are a cute but unlikely duo, they're well written and compliment each other nicely.

At times the story seemed a bit cliche, but that was also part of it's charm, it's apologetically a superhero book, complete with cliches and supervillans, and it was a lot of fun!

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

May get better. An ok start.

I will have to read the other books in the series to find out if all the convenient coincidences are somehow part of the story or just overly structured plot.
