About this listen

From number-one New York Times best-selling author Stuart Woods comes a sizzling new adventure featuring perennial fan favorite Stone Barrington.

In the wake of a personal tragedy, former CIA operative Teddy Fay - now a successful Hollywood film producer known as Billy Barnett - takes a leave of absence to travel and grieve and lands in Santa Fe in the company of his friends Stone Barrington and Ed Eagle. There, fate hands him an unexpected opportunity to exact quiet revenge for his recent loss, from a man who helped to cover up the crime.

But when his enemy wises up to Teddy's machinations, a discreet game of sabotage escalates to a potentially lethal battle. From the arid splendor of the New Mexico desert to the glamour of Hollywood's rolling hills, it will take all of Stone Barrington's diplomacy and skill to maneuver for Teddy's advantage while keeping innocents out of the crossfire.

narration

the narrator switched mid story. the first one was terrible. every character sounded like an old man. the next one was better but everyone sounded Russian. lol. and still sounded like older characters.

Best Road Trip Listening

Any additional comments?

My husband and I are road trip junkies and Stuart Woods' Stone Barrington series is always our first choice for listening while we travel. Tony Roberts' narration is the best and the story is compelling - yet light - enough to keep us interested on the road. We never read this series but save the books for listening in the car.

Stuart Woods - Unbound

Great story, as usual. Tony Roberts always does a professional job narrating the book. Can't wait for next book.

Yet another exceptional book in the series

I am a fan of every book in the Stone Barrington series. This one did not disappoint. I was pleased to see more fleshing out of the Teddy Faye & Billy Barnett storyline. I enjoyed all of the movie studio storyline. Always good to have Stone’s son Peter, and Centurion studios come up. It was nice to take a break from all of the political storylines of the last handful of books. With all of the political drama in the real world lately, I’m happy this book let that storyline lay. May Stuart Woods live long and prosper, and may he continue the series as long as he walks this earth.

Easy Listening

It was a good story and easy listening while we are driving. The ending was too abrupt.
