you are an amazing person. your life’s journey is a story of triumph. I too am a Christian and God is also my rock. It took me a while to come into the fold as well. i don’t know you but i love you my friend. thank you for being a force for good in everything you do. As you know this is rare in today’s world. Continue to be Unafraid my friend.

Good story with good take-aways

I appreciate how the author focused more on his personal life struggles than his successes on the job. It’s all too often we hear about how these special operators are almost god-like in their lives, when books like these show how they’re just as frail as anyone else in their personal endeavors. I never felt like the author was being preachy or talked too much about himself. Very humble approach to the story, which kept me engaged the entire time! A good refreshing story!

Everyone needs to listen to this book

This book is a 12/10 just fantastic from start to finish ,this book brought me to tears a few times, as a veteran and new father myself it definitely hits home for me. The decision to have him narrate his own story was a great one because you can feel the emotion.

A book about life, brilliant!

It was not what I had expected but I couldn't stop listening.
I was looking for cool war stories, instead I got an intimate insight into what it takes to be at the pinnacle of modern warfare.
The costs are far more than we realise and the open and honest insight is moving and humbling.
Brilliantly narrated, open, honest, raw and moving. Eddie should do more audio because it was better than the professionals.
From mindset, religion,family, divorce and the brutal loss of friends and family, the gamut of topics is broad but Eddie lays it out cleanly simply and with reason. I loved the 'hotwash' recap at the end of each chapter and enjoyed the additional insights that Eddie wanted us to take away as well as what you gleam during the chapter.
It's more than a war book, it's a story about life, enduring, the mental and physical fortitude required to perform, excel and navigate what it takes to be the best.

Phenomenal story and life lessons!

This story takes you to the highest highs and the lowest of lows. The way Eddie narrated this story makes you feel like you are present/living it. You can hear the emotions in his voice as he walks you through the trials of combat, friendship, fatherhood, family and religion. a story stacked with invaluable life lessons from the trials and tribulations this guy endured.
Highly recommended to those seeking value and hope in their lives. It’s also action packed with a ton of adventure.

Eddie's story is a great example of God's grace

This is an amazing story of God's grace. The ending is awesome! I'm glad he decided to narrate it because he brought emotion and authenticity to the audiobook that no other person could.
