About this listen

A sexy opposites attract standalone novel from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Jenshak.

I have a type.
I love the good guy.
Responsible and stable. Safe.
So when a beer-drinking, quick-witted, tattooed hockey player asks me to tutor him, I'm suddenly thrust into the world of bad boys and bad decisions.
Jordan is a renowned player on campus.
He doesn’t take anything seriously, except hockey and partying.
But he gives me butterflies.

I’m a wallflower tutoring Valley University’s hottest player.

Good listen

A little slow at times with a predictable end, but still a good listen when walking my dog.

A new favorite!

Really cute, low angst story! I liked how the characters got to know each other and their relationship built. One of my new go-tos/repeat listens!

Predictable but cute!

I started this book and it had been a while since I read the overview and then realized when I was on Jordan’s poverty that it was him and not Liam which made it better for me! It was an enjoyable book! I have had a hard time liking any of the romances that I’ve read but this one was, although predictable, cute!

What a cute story!

I picked this up because of the cute cover and the story inside didn't disappoint. We have studious Wallflower Daisy, who yearns to live in the world of the popular people because they seem to be having so much more fun, and because her crush, Liam, is a part of that world. She wants to approach him, but just doesn't have the guts to do so. As fate would have it, she ends up paired up with Liam and his friend, sexy bad boy Jordan, in class. At first she hangs off every word Liam has to say, but she also spends some time talking to Jordan. The more time she spends with them, the more she starts to realize Liam is a little boring and it's Jordan who she can't stop thinking about. Jordan is happy to see the attraction between Liam and Daisy at first, but Liam has been having a hard time adjusting to his new position as captain of the team, and he's worried Daisy will be a distraction. He conspires a bit to keep them apart, but finds himself being intrigued by her. I won't ruin the rest, but it's such a fun story and has one of the better groveling scenes I've read in a book.

Cute romance

This was a cute story. I was rooting for Jordan and Daisy and enjoyed the organic progression of their relationship. It felt natural, fun, and relatable. I didn’t love the third act breakup and how swayed Daisy was by her friend Violet. I really enjoyed the epilogue.

Read if you enjoy:
* college romance
* he falls hard
* friends to lovers
* forced proximity (tutoring)
* jock and shy girl
* dual POV

Emma Wilder and Lee Samuels did a great job with narration. I recommend the audiobook.

Lots of drinking games and stereotypes...

An "unforgiveable" act that was totally forgivable. Lots of drinking games and stereotypes. Narrators were good...story is somewhat juvenile

Enjoyed 75% of it

Loved the first half and the love triangles presented. I liked the heroine too, but I thought she overreacted to the big reveal, which wasn't much to begin with. Yeah, the hero lied about needing a tutor in order to hang out with her and to keep her away from one of his teammates, but alls well that ends well, no? By that time they were already an item, so what was the big deal? Still, I could deal with this, but her friend Violet was such a B that I couldn't get past it. I was so frustrated at that selfish brat that I had to stop with only an hour and a half left. By that time, it was just dragging on anyway and could have been wrapped up a lot sooner. Oh, and these women are hardly wallflowers.
