I really hope that this book finds itself in the hands (or ears) of those who need it because it is such a beautiful guide to overcoming self doubt and boosting confidence and self love. The author doesn't just say to love yourself, but gives ways to actually build yourself up step by step so that it feels doable even in those times when you don't believe it. I felt that the exercise where you write down your negative thoughts and reframe them in a positive way was very helpful. That alone really made me realize how often I myself down and got me to see how to shift those thoughts. Another part I liked was setting boundaries. I've always struggled saying no even if it would be totally difficult to do the favor. I feel better about saving my energy for me and other important things. Overall I felt that this was a very helpful book for me and I definitely recommend for anyone struggling with self doubt.

In my generation, self love was often confused with selfishness and considered a flaw. I’m so happy for the author bringing forth this highly important book, especially considering the many difficulties that people suffer today as a result of poor self esteem and lack of self love. The narration is comfortable and the steps toward change are easy to process. Imagine the world we would live in if everyone applied the information and guidance offered here!

Encouragement on how to take care of ourselves! What an inspirational book with applicable tools, techniques, and exercises. I appreciated the goal set at the beginning of the book about "long-term happiness, health, and safety." This is really all-encompassing in life. Some key takeaways are that we need to trust in our own wisdom and experiences. Get rid of self-loathing, which includes practical exercise to achieve. Some of the suggestions included journaling for self reflection and gratitude.

Other great suggestions included things like:
- surrounding ourselves with positive people
- eliminating all that causes self-hate
- not taking things too personally
- being able to walk away from toxicity
- no to run away for change

And another suggestion that is so important is that failing is OK! We grow!
