About this listen
Jack Flanders and his crew sail to a mysterious island known as Key Diablo. When a fog moves in, all color seems to vanish, and everything turns into black and white. The islanders, dressed in clothes from the 1940s and '50s, appear to have stepped out of an old Hollywood film noir. And soon our heroes, Jack, Claudine, Mojo, Dominique, and Rose, find themselves playing characters that are dressed to kill.

Fun audioplay based on a song's lyrics.
Gave it a "3" for "story" only because there's not that much story: The best part is a lot of punnery and witty word-play cleverly executed - like the repartee in an old-time screwball comedy (think Chico Marx), or in an epic improv exercise. However weird it gets, everything just flows... Claudine and Dominique arguing in a mash-up of movie French girl and movie tough broad is hilarious. The music and sound environments are both very very good and add a lot to the fun.

Great sounds
I love the stories from ZBS! It is a treat for my ears and my imagination. I drive miles and miles down the highway and before you know it the miles for the day are gone.
I love the sound effects. I can appreciate all the work that went into getting those, (“Meatball’s Meatballs” podcast ). Sometimes the sound effects overpower the dialogue and I have a difficult time understanding and have to rewind to get it all. Best listening is with good set of earbuds or stereo headphones!
Lots of philosophical lines and lessons from various philosophies. They are educational and insightful...I am firm in my own beliefs and enjoy listening to them.
Always take away something positive, energizing and absolutely entertaining!
Love the variety of all that ZBS crew worked together with Meatball Fulton to create! They have been and are a fabulous team. My vocabulary is limited so I’m not very creative with the accolades.
I am happy I ran across them on XM Sonic Theatre years ago.
I wish I had all the Saratoga Springs airings.
The actors and actresses are tremendous what more can I say!
