Oh the butchering of the name "Calliope"

Love the story, it would help if the narrator pronounced things correctly, takes away from the story.

Pothead romance

Somewhat silly romance revolving around the growing and selling of pot. The heroine is a sister of a precious character in the series. Narration is fair for the female voices but not so great for the males. The story is short and the dialogue is snappy so a good choice for the Escape Package but not worth paying a whole credit.

Tripped out is right, but not in a good way

This was a disappointment for this wonderful series. A white woman with dreadlocks is not a romantic heroine in my book. Both characters were constantly smoking and getting high off marijuana. There was entirely too much discussion on the subject of growing & creating new strains of it. It was much more a “how to book” than a romance. Their playing around and chemistry just got totally lost among all the weed. Thankfully it’s not my first book by this author cause it would have been my last. It did have great narration by Ms Chase.

Should not be part of this series

This book was the worst in the series by Lorelei James. It's as if Bill and Ted (yes, from the movie) tried to write a story and it just keeps coming back to getting high. I couldn't find much subsistence in this one and it is completely out of scope in the Blacktop Cowboy series.
