About this listen

I'm a wanted woman. In more ways than one.

I was arrested, then imprisoned in cryosleep, and finally rescued by a crew of horned, golden skinned aliens. Now my government has branded me a traitor.

Whoever is after me is willing to kill - to destroy anything and anyone in their way. They're powerful and without mercy. It's enough to make me lose all hope.

Until Grantian.

He's a dangerous man and he promises to protect me. Former mercenary with the Hael Hounds - more blood on his hands than he cares to recount. He's experienced suffering. And pain. And loss. I can tell that he sees something in me. Something that makes him willing to kill again.

Yet with him, I feel safe. And even if we travel to the ends of the galaxy,

With him...I feel like I'm home.

Contains mature themes.

Ok

Nothing different or unique other books in genre. Narration is okay, a bit flat; Tristan sounds like he is reading instead of acting at times. May continue series.

unexpected

After reading reviews on the first book I was torn on weather to buy it. So I brought the books 1-4 Well I'm glad I did. this one thought is my favorite so far. Seem not just human men who are awkward & become totally confused with human woman. LOL. I definitely recommend this series. Warning the first book is frustrating but understandable. This one was cute ,funny and totally hot.
The only down side is the male narrator. He sounded like he was bored and didn't want to be there. I wished it would have been teddy Hamilton.

great story but an important word is repeatedly mispronounced

I really enjoyed the story, however, both narrators repeatedly mispronounce the word solace, to the point that it is not recognizable as the word it is meant to be. Initially I assumed it was an alien word because as pronounced, it is not a word in English. A big deal is made of synonym of the word, but the word is not recognizable as pronounced, so the listener cannot make the connection until it is pointed out.

Great narration but very weak story

When I listened to the 1st book I didn’t want to make my final judgement about the book because I thought it could be just a slow start of a series plot. Now after finishing/straggling with the second book I see it wasn’t a fluke.
I have never been introduced to such unlikable and annoying female characters by any of authors. It must be a great talent on its own!!! I had to fast forward A LOT to keep my sanity.
The narrators were great and I could only imagine how much it took from them to read this and still be so professional with it.
I would not waste a credit on this creation.

Not Great Not Horrible

This book is about as good as you would expect a 2 dicked scifi book would be. I love the narration. The book is a little longer than a short story in my opinion.

Also if 1 of the authors read this... for the love of all the books please stop saying akimbo. I was about to make the word into a drinking game.

Still formula, but improved from book 1

Thankfully, the entitled, bratty behavior of all the women from book 1 is dispensed with and this book’s couple both behave like grownups. Well, except for the romance which still involves him wondering
if they’re fated mates and yet failing to communicate with her.

The plot about how the women came to be on an abandoned ship, and who’s after them, remains barely sketched out, with an info dump at the beginning and a teaser at the end to set up the next book. But hey, that’s because it’s all about insta-mating and wish fulfillment with the perfect double-dicked alien.

And is it just me, but were the sex scenes the same as in the previous book? Like, each couple has sex in the exact same way for their first and second get togethers? I didn’t enjoy them either way.
Because these were too shallow for me to feel the chemistry, the sex was not sexy at all. I moved on only because the first three books were all free in Audible Plus.
