About this listen

Left for dead.

Bounty hunter Jack Coltrane finds a burning wagon lying on its side in the Wyoming Territory. The ground is littered with the dead, but he finds one survivor, a woman named Bridget Decker. Jack gets her to a doctor in Cheyenne.

He discovers the Wyoming Raiders, a band of outlaws, are the ones who attacked the wagon, and they want to make sure there are no witnesses. And now the Raiders know about Jack, too.

Who will survive the deadly showdown?

This is the third novelette in the Tombstone Jack series. It's 15,300 words of traditional Western action designed to be listened to in one sitting. Enjoy!

TOMBSTONE JACK ROCKS! LOOK OUT WYOMING!

This is the second Tombstone Jack "novelette" I've listened to, and it's awesome!
This time, Jack happens upon a burned up wagon in Wyoming and finds one survivor. The problem is, the ones behind the attack are the Wyoming Raiders... outlaws not to be messed with. And they don't want witnesses. Who's up to the challenge, might you ask? Tombstone Jack, that's who! Look out!

I knew I liked Tombstone Jack before, and now I'm hooked! Great old-school western style shenanigans, loved it! Not too long, can fit it into your schedule anytime.
Great story, great narration, loved it all around.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Look out Wyoming!

This short story is another in the adventures of bounty hunter Jack Coltrane, better known as Tombstone Jack. But, this nickname isn't because of the number of men he has killed; it's for a much tamer reason that he goes by this name.

Jack and his traveling companion, Burt, come across a burning wagon with two dead men alongside. Upon further inspection, Jack finds a mortally wounded woman. Of course, being the kind of man that he is, he takes her to Cheyenne to a doctor, even though this takes him away from his true purpose of collecting a wanted man and the bounty it will bring.

The story continues as Jack encounters the men responsible for this tragedy, but since there isn't a price on their heads, he hesitates to do more. But, since he is basically a good guy at heart, readers know that he will eventually get the chance to make things right.

These short tales of Tombstone Jack are entertaining for anyone who enjoys the Western genre. Jack is a true Western hero, troubled (but you really don't know why), quick with a gun, gentle with the ladies and only trying to survive. I love the humor that his companion, Burt, adds to this series. The author has a wonderful way with words and I found myself laughing out load a couple of times.

The narrator is perfect for this book and adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

A western of the classic style.

Tombstone Jack and the Wyoming Raiders. A western of the classic style, A John Wayne style hero - big, courteous and kind to women, fast with fists, and not frightened to use his guns to bring men to justice.
Great entertainment for 1 1/2 hours.
E.M Carberry's narration is excellent, and the voice he uses for Jack is pure Clint E (in my opinion).
I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my own request, and voluntarily leave this review.
A great read/listen and I hope there is more to come in this series.

Gunfights and raiders

This is another entertaining western in the Tombstone Jack series. Vicious criminals, a woman left for dead, ranchers, retribution and gun fights make this a fast paced, engaging audiobook with an unexpected turn towards the end. The narrator really adds to the enjoyment of the story and gives all the characters individual voices. My only wish that the stories were longer.
