So emotional my heart overflows for our black children

This story was so much my heart overflows for black children that have to “raise “ themselves o cried with Luna every step of the way

True story of love, struggle and rags to riches

I absolutely loved the love displayed amongst this group of family and friends. The support and loyalty was unmatched. They never stopped recognizing and showing love to lunar and pops aka Jason

I thought it was a wonderful story. Definitely recommend the read! To the moon was such a sweet story of love family and dreams. I loved it

To The Moon

Listening to this book had me happy and sad all at the same time. In some parts I couldn’t stop crying and this was so, a great book.

The unity amongst disadvantaged black children that beats all odds.

I'm not sure why I haven't heard much noise about this one but baby This one is up there with Losing Control!

It has earned it's spot in my list of favorites. 10/10

I was on the edge of my seat so many times during the 12hrs and 25 minutes and loved every second of it.

Very well written story and the performance by Joy A. Melveille was perfect.

Feel Good Story

I loved that the story was happy, filled with love, and had a happy ending, although there were twists. The story had me rooting for all the characters and smiling at the end.

Just wow

As a black man I don’t listen to fictional books too often, but I gave this one a chance and although my wife wrote it, this book touched even me. I had never read any of her books and now I feel like I am truly missing out. I highly recommend any and everyone to take a trip to the Jig.

I smiled, laughed & cried Thur the whole book, I loved everything about ❤️ I read the whole series, can’t wait for the other 2 books come to Audible! And the narrator did amazing as well!

Black Lives Matter

I believe this book has the potential to be even better than it currently is. However, it’s evident that the author intended to create a more refined version. The book’s narrative jumps around frequently, making it challenging to follow the intertwined stories of multiple characters. Despite this, I appreciate that each character finds a happy ending and manages to overcome the difficult circumstances they faced in their lives.

I’m really torn on this one. There were a few things I really enjoyed and also some things I really did not like.

First of all, the narrator was a perfect match! I can’t recall ever hearing a narrator sing song lyrics correctly. Quite a few have read popular song lyrics as if they had never heard of the song. Ugh, frustrating. But this narrator was on point. However, I did notice she called Javen, Jason a time or two. Again, she did her job.

Now as for the story- I was a bit annoyed with the story telling; switching between 1st and 3rd person.

I’m realizing “found family” is a trope I really enjoy. And this group were a group of people to root for. Still there were some weirdness with some of the character introductions. For example, Jay was presented as a sketchy person. Even French warns Luna not to trust him. But then he turned out not to be, so why was he presented that way. This somewhat happened with Barbie as well.

Despite the mixed messages and to me some strong similarities to other stories- I liked this group of people. The time hop was driving me crazy.

Why didn’t this stuff happen on page? I would’ve rather that, then some of the random details we did receive.

Luna and Javen stressed me. Because I caught on quickly what was going to happen and the involvement of others. I just knew it was going to be messy. But it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Which was sorta odd- considering the tension surrounding their situation.

I’m not familiar with Loyal’s story. But those details seemed frivolous to the overall story. And again I would’ve much rather have some of the growth and relationships development occurred on page.

I’m still invested, so on to book 2.
