Publisher's summary

People travel to the Enduar Mountains for one of two reasons: death or diamonds.

Estela isn't supposed to find love. As a slave to the Giant King, Estela's life is an endless torment. Her sole hope is to escape with her half-brother and find refuge among the elves.

Teo, the Troll King, is desperate. His people are dying, and he's running out of options. When the giants come for diamonds, Teo's crystal sings.

The slave is the king's mate, and with her comes a solution to save his people. Even after the king steals her from her masters, Estela's one desire is to flee. She doesn't see herself as the savior of the Enduar Trolls. She would rather die than be their queen and, by extension, his mate.

Any amount of time with him is dangerous. His stolen glances and longing stares won't make her forget the truth—if she stays, she'll still be caged.

To Steal a Bride is the first book in Estela and Teo's duet, but it is part of a larger series called Entangled with the Enduar. It is an enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance featuring a desperate heroine and a powerful hero. This adult fantasy romance is perfect for listeners of Sarah J. Maas, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Danielle L. Jensen. Intended for mature listeners.

The most annoying FMC

The story was good in theory. The thing that fell flat was how annoying and infuriating the female main character is. She is an idiot, distrusting and her character would walk off a cliff and die instead of trusting the bridge because the male main characters people built it, even though they saved her and sacrificed to help her people. Her entire way of thinking was infuriatingly immature and not in a good way. I kept listening hoping she would meet a tragic end because I disliked her so much otherwise it would have been a DNF. She is horrible and has no growth as a character. I don’t understand why the author wrote such a terrible FMC. I never not once felt inclined to cheer her or the love story in between the FMC and MMC. I felt bad for the other characters to have to deal with her and I honestly spent most my time wishing she would be taken back with the enemy and meet a terrible end. She ruined what could have been a ok story. If I could give the story 0 stars I would just for her. I hope author writes better characters in future, besides a crappy character the writing style was good and imaginative, and other characters were enjoyable enough.
