Fitzwilliam Darcy and George Wickham were raised almost as brothers, until a terrible truth from their shared past derailed everything. Now, both are in Meryton with a poisoner on the loose. It's their job to catch the killer, but both men are waist deep in secrets.
Already quite miserable at the Netherfield ball, Elizabeth Bennet has no idea how bad things will get. When Mr. Wickham arrives, sick, disheveled, and with claims that the food is poisoned, he is not the suave and elegant man she admires. But she quickly finds that Mr. Darcy is not who she thought either.
Could it be that both men are better than they seemed?
