Great story. Love this small town.

Love the characters and small town charm. Can’t wait to read the next in series.

Antagonistic protagonist

Our heroine is abrasive and takes a lot of getting used to. She is not the usual likeable investigator in a cozy mystery. She has begun to soften by end of the story and will no doubt be more likeable in book 2.

Short and Sweet

Liked that there was no beating around the bush, storyline was straight forward; no long drawn out narratives.

charater development

I enjoyed the small town vibes and it was nice to support a local author. I look forward to continuing the series.

Could be a good storyline

IF the ending was not so obvious within the first 5 minutes, this could have been a good story. There were so many questions raised that could have been developed in the story and made it more interesting. The fact that these questions were not answered was frustrating. The shelter? Drugs? I got more of a cult feeling from the story which was NOT comfortable.
