About this listen
Is there romantic peace in your marriage? Once the honeymoon phase in marriage is in the rear-view mirror, most ladies need the romantic chase of the relationship to continue. Likewise, every man need to feel peace in all areas of his life.
Through His Eyes: A Ladies Guide to Her Husband’s Need for Peace is a faith-based audiobook that uses conversational style writing to teach a lady how to nurture her husband toward the peace that he craves, which will prompt him to continue in the romantic chase. This audiobook is a companion volume to Through Her Eyes: A Man’s Guide to His Wife’s Need for Romance, which was also written by Rev. R. David Morrow LMFT.
Part one defines romantic peace and highlights how a lady’s God-given abilities to nurture those she loves can prompt her husband to understand her need for romance. There is a discussion on the different types of love and different love languages. Finally, there is an assessment that a couple can take which will provide a simple evaluation of their strengths and areas that need attention.
Part two presents the Hebrew word Shalom, which is often translated as “peace”. However, there are seven different definitions of this word that are understood based on its Biblical context. Each definition is presented with scripture passages and stories to illustrate the meaning and Biblical context.
Part three describes practical applications for each of these types of peace with a particular focus on application in marriage and the family.
When used with the above-mentioned companion volume, couples can discuss their learnings and identify ways to establish or re-establish romantic peace in their marriage. These books are also useful in gender-specific group settings or in a life group designed for couples.

Being a genuine disciple of Christ flows out of a relationship with him. It's about experiencing God's grace, not earning his love through performance. A real relationship with Jesus Christ will produce a follower whose life looks progressively more like his life. Romans 12 provides a relational profile of an authentic disciple: someone who is surrendered to God, separate from the world's values, sober in self-assessment, serving in love, and supernaturally responsive to evil with good.

Since the very beginning, God's design for marriage is for husbands and wives to be ambassadors of holy love to a hurting world. Still, so many couples stop short at happy and wonder why they feel unsatisfied. Rather than "you and me against the world", God calls each couple to the rich and meaningful mission of "you and me for the world".

When we find something valuable that helps us accomplish the things that matter most, we don't let go of it. Life is not a game. However, on multiple occasions, the Bible uses competitive sports metaphors to demonstrate the discipline and training necessary to grow and become everything God created you to be. The things we care about most - our identity, our purpose, our relationships - are far more important than a game. We have to learn to win in these areas. And yet, when it comes to our spiritual lives, it often feels more elusive.

For the first time in history, the average age for an American woman having her first child, 26, is younger than the average age of her first marriage, 27. More children than ever are growing up in fatherless homes, despite the overwhelming evidence that in every measurable way this is bad for the child. The Center for Disease Control also recently reported a dramatic rise in sexually transmitted disease nationwide. In Rhode Island alone, since the onset of online dating, reported cases of Syphilis has risen 79%, and HIV has increased by 33%.

Enter the Ring takes a fresh, powerful, vulnerable approach to marriage by framing it as the fight that it is. The world uses different assaults and tactics to distract us, tempting us to walk away, in order to destroy our marriages. But there is hope: The constant forgiveness, grace, and intervention of God can preserve and protect us from not only the world but also ourselves. D. A. and Elicia Horton explore the tension of two people becoming one and how spouses often fight over which "one of us" they become.

No man fails on purpose. Quite the opposite. When our feet hit the floor every morning, we're looking for a win. But these are turbulent times to be a man. In gathering material for this book, Morley interviewed many men. Their input was powerful. And transparent. They agreed that it's increasingly difficult to juggle all their responsibilities as men, husbands, fathers, friends, workers, churchmen, and citizens. As Nick put it, "It feels almost impossible to live out a biblical model of manhood."

While it may not always feel like it, God desires for you to have a relationally healthy, emotionally engaged, and spiritually mature husband with whom you can share your days. In Loving Him Well, Gary Thomas builds on concepts from his best-selling book Sacred Marriage to reveal the inner workings of a man's heart and mind. He delves into Scriptures that help women gain biblical insight to influence their husbands.

Story
Pastor Mark Driscoll and his wife, Grace, talk about sex and marriage in down-to-earth terms, hitting issues other Christian books won't. While a wonderful wedding day is important, it's the last day of marriage that really counts. Will the last day of your marriage come prematurely through divorce? Will it be filled with regrets as you sit at the funeral of your spouse? Or, by God's grace, will the last day be a time to rejoice in the life you lived together?

Story
"Over the last four decades, I've met one-on-one with thousands of men. Most of them know that Jesus promised "a rich and satisfying life" (John 10:10), but too many are confused about what that looks like. In fact, I'd estimate that 90 percent of Christian men lead lukewarm, stagnant, defeated lives—and they hate it. When men try to put into words what's holding them back, they invariably describe one or more of seven symptoms. But you can experience a powerful life transformed by Christ. I'll tell you how."
