Worth the listen

This book is super encouraging, but if you are not ready to die to yourself, then it’s gonna be a lot to take in. But I did enjoy how he walked you through the male psyche so you can better understand your husband and how certain things or just simply not his fault but that it’s his brain. It’s super encouraging for wife’s that I have experienced trauma when it comes to their husbands porn habits. This book definitely dig deep and is super Raw. Get ready to do some examining of your own heart.

The practicality of the advices is the most attractive part: using real life examples makes it credible and easy to accept.

I love the honesty and vulnerability from which the book was born. It resonates with real people who face real challenges and problems in their marriage. It was a very encouraging book. Even though I’ve been happily married to a very godly man for over 30 years I still enjoy being challenged to improve as a wife and to honor the Lord Jesus with my life by honoring my husband and being the best wife I can be. Also I love the emphasis on personal prayer life and relationships with the Lord. It is vital in navigating single or married life.

Compelling

The way the author communicates is everything I needed! His examples and all the practical guidance are gold! I love that this book is for woman, so obviously it’s constructive.. yet you feel as though he is on your side and is so balanced and fair. Currently thanking God for something as life changing as this.

Helpful but not written for people with trauma

I'm an asexual Christian (26F) from past abuse, and while I did find this book helpful, a part of me was discouraged by it. Specifically the sections about men's sexual appetite.
I've worked through my issues over the last 15+ years. But this book just reminded me that my future husband will always desire more from me than what I might be able to give him compared to another women with a higher sex drive. Especially if past porn is added to the mix from his past.
I want a family and am currently dating, I'm just worried of hurting a future spouse if I can't perform when that time comes.
