About this listen

In Thoughtless, Kiera told her story. Now it's time to hear from the sexy rock star who captivated us all...

Thoughtful

The only place Kellan Kyle has ever felt at home is onstage. Gripping his guitar in a darkened bar, he can forget his painful past. These days his life revolves around three things: Music, his bandmates, and hot hookups. Until one woman changes everything...

Kiera is the kind of girl Kellan has no business wanting-smart, sweet, and dating his best friend. Certain he could never be worthy of her love, he hides his growing attraction...until Kiera's own tormented heart hints that his feelings might not be one-sided. Now, no matter the consequences, Kellan is sure of one thing-he won't let Kiera go without a fight.

Critic reviews

"From page one, this book is impossible to put down." (Abbi Glines, New York Times best-selling author on Thoughtless)
"Wildly addictive, beautifully written, and uniquely captivating. Thoughtless is a simmering, slow burn." (Tracey Garvis-Graves, New York Times best-selling author)
"Stephens has perfectly and with gut-wrenching honesty portrayed the reality of a love triangle, and the mess that ensues when bonds are severed and new ones are formed. What happens when you find your soul mate at the worst possible time, in the least expected place? What if being with that person means doing the most wrong thing you've ever done? Thoughtless is one of those books that leaves you thinking about these questions, the characters and their choices for days if not weeks after reading." (Tammara Webber, New York Times best-selling author)

Better than the original

This plot is tough. The whole story revolves around infidelity which I do not find sexy in the least. But the characters are so compelling it's possible to overlook that and enjoy the journey. I loved the first book Thoughtless from the female perspective but I enjoyed this even more. The things that bothered me in the first book (her whiny indecisiveness) didn't bother me as much as seen from this perspective, although her behavior did seem more harsh and cruel. I thought the reader did a good job. His voice was perhaps more academic than I imagined but it grew on me. The biggest challenge listening to this book was that there was so much internal dialog and that difficult to distinguish from what was said aloud. If you enjoyed the others in this series, get this! For sure worth a credit.

Love Kellen Kyle

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I thought he did a great job. His voice was sexy and gentle, however, mature. I agree with the others that his voice is not of a 21-year old guy. I was hoping Dan Bittner would be the narrator. He also pronounced Kiera's name wrong. That's why I gave 3 stars.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Loved the "cure for heartbreak" scene. Perfect.

Good book, but...

I love this addition to the series, but the narrator was a big no. His voice was too old and serious for a 21-year-old, and he didn't even say Keira's name correctly- which was very irritating
As for the book, it was great, as expected.

Six stars

OMGGGGG! I read THOUGHTLESS when it first came out so getting Kellan’s POV now and in AUDIO was an EPIC experience.

The angst! Omg. My heart ached constantly for Kellan! I had forgotten how much I loved his character and seeing the story from his pov made him even more swoon-worthy.

Jeremy Arthur was a FANTASTIC narrator! Loved all the different voices he used for the different characters. All seemed very fitting.

Gosh. What an experience this was. SIX STARS!

Excellent! I couldn't quit listening

If you could sum up Thoughtful in three words, what would they be?

I love Kellen!

Any additional comments?

I loved this audio book so much, and hearing the story from Kellen's perspective helped fill in a lot of holes in the story for me. I thought his inner monologue was tastefully done, without him coming across as whiney. I really LOVED the narration by Jeremy Arthur, I love the tone to his voice, it's very soothing, and dare I say sexy? Yum! I think he did an outstanding job of portraying Kellen. The only minor thing was how he pronounced Kiera's name, which was different from the other books in this series, but if you ask me, that an editing error. The editor should have caught this and corrected before it became an issue...can't fault the narrator for this miss.

I fell in love with him all over again.

I wish the narrator had a more masculine deep voice, that's I had it in n my mind and it was hard to take the voice away. however the story is still so captivating and I felt his pain all the way.

Tear jerker

I have read this series a couple of times. Kellan was more patient than Kiera deserved. Glad they worked it out. Highly recommend the whole series. Jeremy Arthur did a really good job narrating.

Great story - did NOT like the narration!

Would you listen to Thoughtful again? Why?

I would listen to Thoughtful again if it had a narrator that sounded like a rock star in his early 20's. Unfortunately, Jeremy Arthur sounds more like a guy in his mid to late 30's. And the fact that he pronounced Kierra completely differently than the original three Audible books drove me crazy!!!!!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved getting the story from inside of Kellan's head. It made me less frustrated with Kierra, and a little bothered by how quickly Kellan himself jumped to conclusions.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

See the answer to the first question above. Very much a distraction and did not follow the "vibe" of the overall story. It was so bad, this is the first review I've written because I felt it necessary to share how I felt about it.

Kellen Kyle-WOW

Alright, I have to admit I'm leaving my book boyfriend (Travis Maddox) for Kellen. No I think I may have to share...I love them both equally. I love when authors give the man's P.O.V. in a phenomenal series.
