With the release of Theory U almost 10 years ago, Otto Scharmer set in motion a revolution in thought. What prevents us from attending to situations more effectively is that we aren't fully aware of and in touch with the inner place from which attention and intention originate. This is what Scharmer calls our blind spot. By moving through Scharmer's U process, we consciously access the blind spot and learn to connect to our authentic Self - the deepest source of knowledge and inspiration - in the realm of "presencing," a term coined by Scharmer that combines the concepts of presence and sensing.

Now, 10 years later, Scharmer revisits the phenomenon Theory U has become and updates and reports on the progress and evolution since initial release.

Theory U is an amazing piece of Work

I found Theory U as a result of my executive MBA program at the University of Westminster in London.

Upon my discovery of it, I immediately dove straight in. I used the methodology presented to launch my own individual journey through the U.

What it resulted in was a year long action research program, content in my final dissertation on Authentic Leadership, And, the launch and publication of my very first book and online course.

I can't recommend this work enough

Very technical language suited for listening???

Material is interesting. Language is very technical so not well, or not suited for listening??

Transformational ideas clearly conveyed

So many parts of the book were encouraging and timely. I want to share with a number of people to cultivate discussion around turning these ideas into reality in our cities, organizations and out personal lives.

Great book, graphics as pdf would be great

Theory U is a promotion and not textbook

Because and perhaps I expected to learn about a systematic approach to the practice of leadership, I was disappointed by the extensive promotion included and so little about the subject matter itself.

I usually don’t write reviews

I am referring to the audio book, and kept on waiting for the point. No info really before about 5 hours left. And I couldn’t really get much until there’re 2 hours left. Until the end, I was still waiting for something of substance… maybe the original book is much better. But have to say this audiobook version is not good.
