This is an abridged version
The ideas are great, really intriguing, and normally I would give this book 5 stars. But this is an abridged version, apparently an old version, and nowhere is this fact stated. Also, only half the content is read by Mr. Senge, the rest by some anonymous guy.
On the other hand, the reviews of the complete book (Kindle edition) indicates that that version is too long, so maybe an abridged version is OK? But please inform me before I buy.

I love the concepts presented in this book.
How could the performance have been better?
I would have preferred the book to have been read. I thought the pausing and added insights were more lecture style. While that is not a bad thing, I wanted to hear the book, not a lecture.
Did The Fifth Discipline inspire you to do anything?

Any additional comments?
I wish I could have listened to a section of this before I used up a credit on it. I would have simply purchased and read the book. I wanted to hear the book: Chapter 1…. Instead, it ended up being lecture style/one sided discussion style and I didn't like that. Pausing is different when lecturing as opposed to reading and it simply threw me off. Shoot. I will have to be more careful about reading reviews before I purchase an audiobook.

Not bad, but not all Senge
The book was ok but the narration wasnt all Peter Senge and at times the flow was challenging. Overall the book was helpful but includes a lot of concepts that are unique in themselves. The message is good, but prescriptively it is a bit too packaged.

The examples of generic companies don't seem to hit home as well I said would if there were real companies and some understood that they don't allow for bill pointing out a real company but she will be nice to research some of the stuff that they actually point out for examples

good introduction to the concept could have had more examples of situation besides the beer simulation

The best book on Learning Organization
Would you consider the audio edition of The Fifth Discipline to be better than the print version?
I personally get more out of readibgvalong and list Bing. The value is I seem to retain more information from th book that way.
What did you like best about this story?
Sergea Whoolwy strategy on continuous improvement of the learning organization is in my humble opinion are the best ideas and they are ideas that work.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Every chapter of this book has information that is relevant and inspiring as to how to move an individual and the organization towards continuous improvement. The whole book is the best in the topic.

I loved the book. I am in the police profession and policing is very tradition and this is how we always have done status quo mentality. We need to change this in th policing profession if we are to improve our strategies operations and tactics and understand how they impact the moral, mental and physical levels of police work and how it effects the people we protect and serve.
