About this listen

The true account of a man drawn to explore the mysteries of Tibetan spirituality hidden from the outside world for centuries. The story begins in the Highlands of Scotland and quickly moves to the "roof of the world" in the Himalayas where questions are put, and answers revealed, by master teachers in the monasteries on the High Plateau. Set at a time before the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1950 and the destruction of hundreds of monasteries and the torture and murder of monks that followed, Dr. MacDonald-Bayne gives the reader a rare glimpse of life as it was, amongst these deeply spiritual and peaceful people. He returned to teach and lecture throughout the world following his life-changing encounters with his spiritual mentors in what was a peaceful land of higher thought. This is the sequel to the author's earlier work, Beyond the Himalayas.

An amazing adventure, and incredibly fresh reiteration of the Truth

I believe this to be an incredibly fresh and much needed reiteration of the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After listening to this book, most especially the second time through, I received a most holy and profound awareness that I’ve never had in my life before. I’ve been exposed to most every religion, that is to say a method of worship, ranging from one end of the spectrum to the other. As one of the other readers has stated, some concepts or ideas may seem foreign at first, but I would advise you not to think about this too strongly with your mind, but try to let these words rest in your heart, where your Father is, and you’ll come to a most holy and profound realization that the Father is in you most especially because you and He are one. Therefore, He is always with you and will never leave you, all you need to do is awaken into this reality. Only you can attempt to blind yourself to this, by what some may call sin, but the TRUTH never changes. Thank you, Jesus. Please read, or in my opinion, listen to this book.

No words can describe the teachings.

It is hard to describe. But I got it with this book.
I’m glad that the narrator Barry j Peterson was the one. His perfect voice and perfect way of reading. Makes him the best.
