About this listen

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Catherine Bybee comes a tale of a strong-willed dancer exercising her independence and the rich biker she can’t let go.

Salena Barone has broken free of her family and moved into an apartment above the D’Angelos' restaurant, where she works as a manager—without a husband, thank you very much. But even on a restaurant salary, she soon finds herself strapped for cash. Salena’s never been afraid of living on the wild side, though, so she takes on a side hustle that’ll raise big bucks…and eyebrows, if anyone finds out.

Tattooed biker Ryan is the youngest of the wealthy Rutledge wine family and has never dreamed of rings, forever, or continuing the family business. He’s perfectly happy living his own life and helping out hardworking folks in his own way.

When these two independent singles spot each other at a Rutledge-D’Angelo wedding, the attraction is instant. But as their friendship with benefits evolves into something more, the secrets Salena’s keeping—from family, friends, and Ryan—threaten the happily ever after she never knew she wanted.

I loved every book in the series and hope there will be more! I haven’t listened to one book by Catherine Bybee that I haven’t loved! And the narrator makes it that much better! I know I didn’t say why I loved it but that is because opinions on books are all over the place and I have seen 5 stars on books that I hated. It’s like food - tastes vary. If you don’t like it, don’t read or listen to more.

Love the whole series!

I have now read everything written by Catherine Bybee! Usually when I read series from the same author/series things become predictable. NOT the case with anything Catherine Bybee writes! What made it even better was the narrator! This was a great series!

D’Angelo’s series is a MUST read

I absolutely loved reading the entire series and this book was very nice to read. It felt like even through the stressful moments. It felt very good to just continue reading the book and hard to put away the camera in the relationships. Interactions with the family and friends those were the best parts for me and of course guy girl so I was happy about that .

Fantastic book to read

Salena is finally breaking free of her parents vice like grip by moving out of their home. She is 26 and has had more than enough of living under their roof with their constant disapproval, judgments and insistence that she live her life the way they want her to without questioning them. Little does she know that living with the D’Angelo’s is only slightly less invasive. When she meets Ryan at a wedding there is an instant connection, but she doesn’t want serious and her parents will never accept anyone who isn’t Italian or that they’ve personally picked out. The best laid plans! Ryan is a great guy and their opposites attract road to their own HEA is a wonderful one. I did find some of the invasive behaviors of multiple characters a little over the top, but overall a fun read with a wonderful wrap-up.

A nice addition to the series

I put off the 4th book in this series as I wasn’t sure they could do much more with this family storyline. I was wrong! I really liked this one and the storyline with Selena and family acceptance. It was cute and a nice pick me up for sure. These books are great if you want something easy to put a smile on your face. I appreciate the strong female characters and that this lead and the other women in the books don’t need to be saved. It is light on the explicit sex which I kind of like the focus on the relationship instead.

If you liked the first 3 this one will meet expectations!

Narrator needs to change her “sing song” way of narrating. Good story but narrations needs improving

I have enjoyed all of the books in this series following the D'Angelo family. Looking forward to potential future books. The narration also was terrific.

wonderful romance story

While the storyline in Selena and Ryan’s romance was somewhat predictable I really enjoyed her fierce independence and her need to escape the rigid rules of her parents. Judging Selena by her older sister’s mistakes made her parents hopelessly critical and I loved Ryan’s fierce support of Selena’s dreams. As always I enjoyed spending time surrounded by the D’Angelo family as this series comes to an end. My one criticism would be the lack of career and character development with Ryan’s character since most of the story centered on Selena’s character. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed Devon Sorvari’s narration throughout all four books.

I enjoyed the narration!
