Visiting the Biltmore virtually

I LOVED every scene that included the Biltmore. I could close my eyes and see the staircase, the bassinet, the two bedrooms with the huge office in between, the views from the windows! Glorious! I enjoyed the mystery of the veil and the historical significance of the times. Great story!

I love historical fiction…

And this one hits all the right notes! Love story, family drama, past and present storylines, mystery, strong females, and southern charm.
I loved the different narrators too. That doesn’t always work but in this case it added another layer to the experience.

So, so good!!

Loved hearing my Peachtree Bluff series actors again! This was a fun historical fiction book that I want to read again!

I liked the history in the piece and the NC landmarks. The family that got the veil was Quintessential

It was okay.

IMO not a bad book, but not the page turner other readers found it to be. Which is okay since we all have different taste. I, however, found the history surrounding the Biltmore estate interesting as I have visited.

Excellent story!

Great story of the Vanderbilt girls! I loved the historical part of the book it kept me listening the modern part was mostly fluff but this book is definitely well worth a listen! Thumbs up for sure!

Pulling it all together for The End

I got tired of what seemed to be rambling around rather than getting to the point. And then it all made sense.

Good listen

This author is one of the best in good southern fiction. What a great story of a current wedding story, a honeymoon, a relationship between a granddaughter and her grandmother and some of the Vanderbilt women. Babs (grandmother) was my favorite character. I always loved when the chapters came around to her and her new take on life at 80 years young.
I listened via Audible and the narrators did an excellent job.
