Declan & Giana Are Swoonworthy!
No surprise that this audio captivated me, Alex Kydd is one of my top tier male narrators and Devon Grace was so great as Giana!!
OMG why is no one talking about Declan?! If he isn't top tier book boyfriend material I don't know who would be! I mean, he learns ASL for Giana?! I SWOONED!
Giana is one of my favorite female characters of all time I think, I absolutely adored her! She was so determined and driven, not letting her hearing loss slow her down or diminish her light at all! It was just a part of who she was.
Really though, this may be my favorite Cali Melle book & audio ever now!

This book combines all my loves!! Small town, beach, surfing and marine animals! I have a degree in marine biology it was fun to learn the fmc had this degree and career.
Declan and Giana have a meet cute over an injured sea turtle. Declan found the injured turtle on the beach and brought it to a local rehabilitation center where Giana works. Declan falls hard and fast for Giana. These two are just adorable.
Love the interconnecting theme throughout the book with the title- The Tides Between Us. This is such a cute, fun, heartwarming, perfect summer read!

The FMC is deaf.
The book was cute, the story was cute, however there was no real conflict. No fight between them. Nothing that pulled them apart and back together expect the fact he didn’t live there. It was so cliche. I just think there could have been so much more.
