About this listen

In this breathtaking novel, New York Times bestselling author Joan Johnston weaves a beguiling tale of two feuding families--the Blackthornes and the Creeds--and of two extraordinary people: loner Owen Blackthorne and beautiful, headstrong Bayleigh Creed, irresistibly drawn to each other despite the desperate odds against their love.

Owen Blackthorne is a lone wolf, a man who doesn't need anyone. Then Bayleigh Creed appears on his doorstep, demanding his help in locating her missing brother. Together they head into the desolate West Texas wilderness, a Blackthorne and a Creed, mortal enemies obliged to join forces to survive. Neither counts on the unwanted attraction that draws them together, or the bitter truths that will force them apart--until the ruthless wilderness compels them to make life-and-death choices between family and duty and love.

The narrating mistakes and horrible voicing.

I was totally disappointed in the narrating. It was horrible and they didnt even edit correctly as you can hear a guy and repeats. This should be fixed and given to the people who payed for this. The storyline was ok and I did like the ending.

Worst editing ever

Of all the hundreds of audiobooks I’ve listened to this is one of the 2 worst. Although The author did a good job of writing the noon, she should have someone else narrate and definitely a different production and editing team. Not sure I can listen to more books like this one.

Editing sucked.

This was one of the hardest stories to sit through, not because of the story which I enjoyed, but because of the editing. you could hear the editor talking and the narrator messing up and asking where to start reading again. I enjoyed the book but am upset I wasted the money/credit on this book.

Good Story -- TERRIBLE Naration

I've listened to well over 100 audible/audio books. The narration of this book plus lack of editing was unbelievably bad! From the stoping/starting again in a sentence to periodically hearing a male in the background counting down was unbelievable. Plus, there was the lack of different intonations for each character. In the beginning it sounded as though it was set on fast speed so I slowed it to 75% which didn't help. This is a very gifted author but she is not a narrator. I kept thinking if only a Jack Garrett or others of his ability had been the narrator! I bought two in this series at one time but will buy no more with this author as narrator!
