Publisher's summary

It was love at first con. Find out how FBI Special Agent Kate O’Hare and con artist Nicolas Fox first met in this exclusive original short story!

Con man Nick Fox is after Garson Klepper’s golden Peruvian relics. For Fox, convincing Klepper to hire him as security for the relocation of the relics to the Getty museum in L.A. was easy. Problem is, Fox wasn’t planning on Klepper also enlisting the help of the FBI. Fox also wasn’t planning on being paired up with rookie special agent Kate O’Hare. She’s smart, she’s tenacious, and when she’s conned, she holds a grudge. Life for Fox and O’Hare will never be the same again.

The Shell Game is a prequel to the riveting series from Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, which continues with The Job on November 18.

Fun for fans, but not a "must have"

This is a fun short for fans of the series. It's less than an hour and not offering anything substantial to the series - but I grabbed it on sale for less than a $1.50, so not bad.

I did enjoy it and Scott Brick's narration is wonderful.

Too Short

Seems to be book 1 of series, but very short like a short story not a series.

Enjoyed this SS. Waiting for the next novel

This was a great SS and provided some background to the novels. Looking forward to more from this team. Really enjoy this narrator.

The fix & o'hare series is awesome! I can't wait until the next one. And Scott Brick is the best narrator. Love, love, love! Thanks!

narration was good

too short. needed more development. Predictable. Even tho it was free would have liked a little more development.

Nice short Story

I am a fan of Scott Brick the narrator. He has capabilities of projecting emotions of each character while giving them each a unique voice.

I used one credit for this book

I selected this book because it started out great and only had a couple of minutes before my flight. It’s only 30 minutes long and it cost me one credit I’m not happy.
It’s a good story, but it’s a rip off and I wanna get my credit back

Good story

Only spoiled by the whiny, prissy little old lady voice of Scott Brick. I usually bypass anything he narrates.

Inroad to a new series

Not really excited to spend a full credit for this short introduction to this new series but the characters seem to be a perfect match for true entertainment.
