A race against time ensues, with Ben desperate to warn his parents they're walking into a death trap, while somehow completing the first level of his apprenticeship and securing his place at the Royal Institute of Magic.

I love it!

Well writen story. It has the Harry Potter vibe and sends you easily into the magic world.

Better than book 1

While still a Harry Potter knock-off, the story is good. it's a worthwhile read. A for effort

Great fantasy for kids/YA

Narrated by Peter Kenny of The Witcher on Audible. Magic follows fairly standard Euro fantasy rules. Likeable characters and interesting main quest.

The Saga Continues

An expanded development of characters and exciting introduction to new characters. Congratulations to Ben and Charlie! They will need there new skills sooner rather than later. On to the next book now!

This book like the first is fantastic! It holds you captivated so you don’t want to leave your chair.You won’t want to move until the very end. I recommend this book highly. Give this book a read! You won’t forget it any time soon!

Wonderful series

This is one of the best young fantasy series I've read in a long time. Narrator does a great acting job. Would definitely want to hear more from him.
