The Magicians Meets James Bond

The wizards of the Cold War must uncover a secret cabal responsible for the Kennedy assassination in The Shadow Commission, New York Times best-selling author David Mack's globe-spanning historical fantasy sequel to The Iron Codex.

November 1963. Cade and Anja have lived in hiding for a decade, training new mages. Then the assassination of President John F. Kennedy triggers a series of murders whose victims are all magicians - with Cade, Anja, and their allies as its prime targets. pretty good audiobook

The third book was easier to finish than the second. The narrator was easier to listen to them the narrator of the second book. The narrator of the first book was by far the best. Close Cannon did decent voices for Briett and Anaya but every male was disappointing. Dispite the male voices I could hold on through the whole book without too many issues.
The plot of the novels was spectacular and full of twists is turns for secrecy and tactics. The Overall ending was sad about one of the main characters but it works though. loved the plots and story from all three books.
