This one beats some of the other brands out there. I'm excited about this. The information was accurate and the narrator did great.

The writer has definitely done some research and has compiled it all in this summary. I think I'm looking forward to summaries of history. Hopefully, they'll come out with more books. Thanks, Kelly.

This book goes over all the main aspects of the Roman empire. In its entirety, I think it would be good enough to just listen to this book and do whole report on it in college. The best points were all highlighted, and emperor Augustus was specifically in there. I gotta say that I found everything I was looking for in this almost 4 hour book.

This is great

I was expecting this and it lived up to my expectations. It's crazy how such an empire became so big and has fallen in time. Made me wonder what happened, and it was explained well enough. The emphasis was on various other aspects of the empire, and it gives you great insights in what was happening there and then.

Excellent history book

I have no idea how this audio book got such high reviews unless the author and/or narrator have had their friends/associates stuff the reviews with positive reviews.

The narration is atrocious. Her constant mispronunciation of words is extremely distracting. I listened to the sample before purchasing, and I thought she sounded like a freshman high school student from the start but I purchased anyway because of the high reviews. Big mistake. I’ve never heard a narrator this unprofessional.

The actual narrative is almost as bad. It sounds as though it was written by someone without a native level proficiency in the English language.

I could go on and on, but I do not want to waste any more time on this. I have seen far better high school survey courses on Rome. I am a History graduate student and this audio book left me greatly disappointed. I recommend you avoid it.

Waste of time and money
