Sad Story with an ironic twist
This story follows a rifle from the time it is made until the present. It is an interesting but sad history. Bound to hold a young boy's attention.

this is an amazing book
this is an amazing book. I read it first in 5th grade and it's the book that got me into firearms. its a truly great novel short but we'll written and very informative. it at the end stresses firearm safety. definitely recommend to any reader.

Struggles to stay on track
The Book is supposed to be about a rifle, but it spends half the Book going off track and pushing a narrative. It's supposed to have an appreciation for guns and handling, but the ficticious approach towards the people make it hard to take seriously. Especially when there is a long winded backstory about them that probably exhibit more imagination than fact.

Don't waste your time
Started out good but ending was surreal. Still not sure what point it made. Was willing to overlook some technical errors about historical armsmaking but then the crazy train went off the rails. Author obviously has some deep rooted hatred towards NRA members.
