About this listen

Far from being an engaging fable, the account of Job in the Bible is one of the most historically and scientifically accurate records of the ancient world.

Perhaps the oldest book in the Bible, the Book of Job touches on many subjects of science and history. This commentary on the controversial Book of Job is very different from most of the seminary and church teachings so prevalent today, for it attests to the historicity of a man named Job who understood at the end of his life that God cannot be "figured out", but He can most certainly be trusted.

Good things can happen to bad people. Perhaps the final accounting is only done in the afterlife, in The City of God.

Good, thorough explanation of the Old Testament’s Book of Job.

loved it! very insightful. I have a greater appreciation for Job's life, his remarkable example, and how his experience foreshadowed the life of Christ. This is a thoughtful analysis in layman's terms of a challenging Biblical masterpiece. The performance is excellent. Very pleasant voice.

I appreciate the attention to details in regards to Joe's life. and as a woman I could definitely look at Job's wife and assume to be more than that in the midst of all the suffering as a wife.

insightful

This is not the first commentary on Job I’ve read. It is the first, though, which does justice to the text of the book, in my view. The author gives an inspiring and challenging look behind the scenes, consistent with a high view of the inspired nature of the text.

I cannot do justice to the work of the author, except to say I believe you will be richly rewarded for your time invested. Worth listening~prepare to listen multiple times.
