Murder Mystery & Friendship
The Queen of Poisons was a cute cozy “who done it”. I love the three main “girlfriend”characters & how they interact with each other - like real friends do! It’s fun to see them follow all the clues until they solve the murder mystery! Easy listening/entertaining. (Book 3 of 3 in series).

Fabulous book. I love this series and the books just keep getting better and better. I was thrilled to hear that PBS Masterpiece has created a series based on the books. they're already working on season 2.

A bit of a letdown :/
I really like this series. But this third book didn’t feel nearly as fun compared to the other two. It was still enjoyable, but not as much as the other two. The murder mystery was clever and it is very clear Thorogood but in a lot of thought into subtle details and clues. However, the backdrop of the stories of Judith, Suzie and Becks felt boring and dull. Also solving the murder seemed too convenient. Something isn’t quite the same, and I don’t know what..

Not Quite As Good
This book was not quite as good as the others. The characters are still lovely, but there were a few mistakes. For instance, Judith gets out of the river, gets dressed and then suddenly is undressed again. Nothing earth-shattering, but just a bit sloppy. Oh well, maybe the next one will be better.

Brilliant Fun
Judith, Becks & Suzy are a wonderful trio amateur sleuths. Always a pleasure to find time with them in Marlow.

It was OK
I liked the first two books, this one, less so. For the first part of the book, I almost gave up as I was getting bored. I did not mind suspending belief that the lead detective would let our three woman run riot over the suspects rights, but it did get tiresome.
There was not as much fun to this story but it did pick up half way through and the ending was clever.
