it was well written and it was super cute. It gets a lil spicy which I love but was well written.

low stakes, Gilmore Girls vibe

I'm not a huge romance fan in general BUT I adored how cute this book was and I am going onto book 2. my life is overwhelmingly scary and stressful and this book offered me a very much needed escape and reminder to appreciate the simplicity in life.

Cute storyline

I actually really liked this book! The cover art is what drew me in but the storyline was so cute! There was a little plot twist which was great! The spicy-ness was just enough! Well written book!

This charming story follows Jeannie, a woman in need of a fresh start, as she leaves behind her corporate life and ex-boyfriend to move to Dream Harbor, a quaint small town that feels straight out of a Gilmore Girls episode. With its quirky townspeople, overly-involved neighbors, and town meetings, Dream Harbor might remind you a bit too much of Stars Hollow—right down to the meddling yet endearing residents.

Jeannie takes over her aunt’s coffee shop, The Pumpkin Spice Café, and faces the ups and downs of running a small business. From learning to manage a team to handling a bit of harmless but unsettling local mischief, Jeannie’s journey is filled with both challenges and heartwarming moments. Of course, it wouldn’t be a small-town romance without a brooding local farmer, and Logan fits the bill perfectly. He’s serious, a little gruff, but in no time at all, he sweeps Jeannie off her feet with all the hallmark moments you’d expect in a cozy romance.

While the story doesn’t break new ground in terms of plot, it’s the ideal comfort read. The small-town atmosphere, pumpkin spice lattes, and light romance (with a touch of spice, though it’s fairly vanilla) make this the perfect companion for a weekend curled up with a blanket. If you’re in the mood to immerse yourself in autumn vibes and escape reality for a bit, The Pumpkin Spice Café delivers just that.

Overall, I give it 3.5 stars. It’s predictable but endearing—a great pick if you’re looking for a sweet, feel-good read to get you in the fall spirit. Just don’t be surprised if you start craving a pumpkin spice latte (even if it IS less *pumpkin* spice and more skinny vanilla - IYKYK)
