About this listen

Math Professor Sophie Knowles finds herself in the middle of an investigation after her friend, Henley College librarian, Charlotte Crocker, is found dead in the stacks. When Sophie learns that Charlotte wasn't the quiet, law-abiding citizen she seemed to be, she sets out to determine who her friend really was, and to find her killer. As she deals with a group of lottery players, winners, and losers, the odds are Sophie will solve the puzzle.

Being a librarian is murder

The Probability of Murder is Book 2 of the Professor Sophie Knowles Mystery by Camille Minichino. This wonderful story has Sophie the Department Chair at Henley College. When librarian Charlotte Crocker is murdered, everyone is shocked, especially her goid friend Sophie. Chris Sensory by gives an outstanding performance as the narrator. There are so many people involved in the case that it is hard for Sophie to figure out who the murderer is. I felt that the characters are fabulous and very believable. The story is exciting and I found myself not wanting to stop listening until the story was over. The excitement did not end until the book was finished. I am really looking forward to listening to Book 3!

The Probability of Murder

I am binge listening to this series, which means I am enjoying it! The mystery keeps you guessing to close to the end. If there were clues that would allow you to figure out whodunit before the end, I missed them!

My comment for the narrator is the same. Good narration, but I am used to faster-talking people so I sped it up to 1.35. It was perfect and had the added bonus of letting me finish the book in a fraction of the time.

Well done Enjoyable

Does she really know her friend as she goes about to find the killer. Enjoyable and the narration by Chris added to the story. Given audio for my voluntary review

tangled web

I didn't have a clue. At first I didn't know what the crime was. then I had no idea who done it. Suspenseful in parts and I enjoyed following along to the conclusion. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

It's always the one you don't suspect

At first almost everyone has a reason for wanting the victim dead. This time around it was almost impossible to keep them all straight in my mind and to eliminate them one by one. I thought the killer had gotten away but I was wrong. It's always the one you would least expect to have done the evil dead.

Just as good as the first!

Again I was amazed with this lovely (as lovely as a murder story can) story! It was just as interesting as the first and couldn't get enough of it. I hope to listen to the next books soon!

5+++ Stars

There are several things I like about The Probability of Murder. Sophie Knowles is an intelligent and realistic character that proves women can succeed in a male dominated field. I enjoy the way she rationalizes her motives and actions to investigating her friends murder. I also like the relationship she has with Bruce. Both have hobbies that are dangerous and have come to an understanding of mutual trust and respect. The plot is faced paced and the story is very entertaining. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.

I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review.

Great read!

cozy-mystery, university, murder-investigation, friendship, suspense

What a way to have your life upended! Sophie is a maths professor with a boyfriend who is a helicopter pilot who does serious climbing for a pastime. A woman who Sophie believes is her friend is found shot to death in the campus library and Sophie is beyond stunned. That is until she discovers some things about her friend rather by accident. Things get beyond crazy from then on. Excellent plot with some very unusual plot twists and red herrings! The characters are clearly drawn and only too believable. Great read!
Chris Kenworthy is truly gifted as the narrator.
