A prisoner

I enjoy Nell’s writing style and the narrator, Becket, does a great job with the voices. During this coronavirus lockdown, it’s another way for me to be in France. Now onto Book 4.

How a village can be blind to its members

It was a great, well thought out plot and Molly Sutton is becoming more and more intrenched into village life and friends with its quirky characters.

Suspense

Very good story. Lots of twists, turns and missed opportunities. Enjoy getting to know the village characters better with each book.

Suspense in a beautiful setting

I love how the writer describes everything so clearly, you get a vivid picture of all of it.

Likeable characters and potato chip storyline.

Clean, for the most part. Americanized mannerisms and conversations unfortunately. Good mystery solved and appropriate build up. Interesting and believable characters. But unrealistic timeline for a new immigrant to earn income, get a license to drive, etc. Immigrants must prove a steady income to get a temporary resident visa, so her B and B couldn‘t be her only income, and justify her worry about making it month to month. Sceneries and settings and not just conversation, which I appreciate.

Narrator Could be Better

I enjoy the stories, and I like the narrator, but it is difficult when all the voices sound identical, and none have French accents. It would help the audio book to have that added element.

Moves slowly

I really like the characters in this series but the plot moves along too slowly.

Not my favorite Sutton mystery

The theme of a girl held prisoner was creepy and the solving of the crime dragged. There were too many frustrating missed opportunities to tell the police. Molly and Dufort are appealing characters, however.

Not In Keeping with the Series

A lot darker storyline than previous Molly Sutton stories. If I was looking for that type of book there are much better ones. This book could have used a lot more Molly and friends and a lot less “Silence of the Lambs”.

I enjoy the easy listening and the way it makes holds your attention. The story teller does a very nice job!
