A fusion of High Fantasy and classic Swashbuckling Pulp.
Written in an older tone and a deep vocabulary (worry not- the supplemental PDF will straighten you out) this reads like you'd find it in an old steamer trunk on a stormy night.
The narrator is delightful, and I hope they'll be returning for the next book as well.
Eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
