It’s a bit long

I liked the idea of the story but there was so much explaining of feelings, scenes, thought process, it felt like the author didn’t need to explain in so much detail some of the nuances between brothers or between sisters. It just felt like the story could have been shorter.

So unique and fabulous

It was wonderful. Sophomore novels are usually hit or miss and Nikki knocked it out of the park!

Not as good as The Measure

The Poppy Fields : ⭐️⭐️⭐️.03 science fiction / I loved The Measure so I was so excited for this to come out 💗 three strangers whose flight was canceled and only one rental car left …. ALL heading in the same direction and need to be at their destination asap …. Once again the author has left the reader with thoughts about humankind and choices 💕

Not as good as The Measure but still enjoyable

Very character driven novel and I did like the characters. I never lost interest, but it wasn't as good as her first novel. Without spoilers, there's one piece of the story that I personally felt was most at the heart of the "sleep cure," but it got short shrift.

Perfect Book Club Pick

Like The Measure, this book is fantastically written. Different points of view, and you are immediately captivated in this storyline. It will be a perfect book club pick for a great discussion. You’re going to love it!

Good story idea. The narrator didn’t do it justice at all.

I like the explanation of the significance of the poppy seed. How true it is.

Couldn’t hold my attention

Very slow story , too fragmented and hard to follow. Didn’t finish. Disappointed, I expected more action than reminiscing about the lives of the characters
