The Playground

3 very different tales that were completely unique. I thought the title story, "The Playground", was a really cool narrative that was just a very interesting take on missing children. The "Crack in the Wall" was weird and enjoyable. "Bossman" started out pretty dull for me, but it ramped up in the most delightful way and the ending was perfect IMO. I loved the fact that there was not even an attempt to explain any of these events, classic short story format that leaves the reader pondering well after reading.

I was given this book for my unbiased review.

Interesting and captivating

Disclaimer: I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I have enjoyed this book greatly. The subtle elements of supernatural and suspense is very fresh. I like the first and third story more than the second one, but they are all charming in their own ways. Strangely relatable in their own ways, the character's curiosity matches that of my own. Narration by J.L. Baker is great, the pacing is excellent and she keeps me drawn to the story and the suspense.

Very much enjoyed this. Deftly written and beautifully performed. Three tales that are satisfyingly told and were thoroughly enjoyed by me. Thank you Jill Benson for this lovely book.
