Enjoyable

I thought this was a cute easy listen & enjoyed the book. There were moments I thought a few chapters were a bit drawn out & zoned out for a minute. The narrator was fantastic. I loved the characters & wished maybe there was further development of their story. Overall if you just take this book as light quick summer read / listen it’s worth it. I will say that this is my first book by this author so if this was her worst book I am looking forward to diving into her others.

Another Hit From Sophie!

Another cute, funny and sometimes frustrating (but in the best Sophie Kinsella way!). The characters had personality and the narrator brought them all to life.

Not One of Her Best But Still Good Overall

It starts out painfully slow, but finally finds a good pace about 1/4 into the book. I almost returned it but glad I listened until the end. Would recommend as the story overall is quite entertaining.

A good Beach Read

This is a simple love story of a family and their love for each other and their home.

Perfect for dog walks and End of Day relaxing

The plot is straight forward; the characters are quirky enough to be interesting, and the narrator does a good job with different voices without being distracting.

After working all day, this was a great listen to relax and empty my brain. Well done…

Really fun book!

This was a really fun and thoughtful book that is totally relatable! The story was well written and I enjoyed the playful yet considerate tone. I enjoy Sophie’s books and this was another to add to the list! Thank you!

Light easy read funny in parts

I think I agree with the general consensus that the books are not as funny as the earlier ones , an easy listen but I would not recommend it highly to others. Narrator did a good job.

I read reviews before I bought this and as usual you know there’s some people who really don’t like it and others who said it was delightful I enjoyed it I thought it was pretty well written I thought it was an interesting idea and I will be listening to this again

Such fun characters for a lively story

This story is as quirky and lively as each character that comes into it. The main character Effie is nuts and believable as she manages life through the changes that come with being adult with family that meets changes and challenges. By the end of the tale, I found tears running down my face, because I just loved each character and wanted them all to be alright.
