About this listen

The Only Girl in the World follows the gripping romance between English WWI soldier Dennis and Helene. Dennis cannot escape the shadows of the trenches, and with only two weeks leave, his future with Helene is not secure. When this war is over, he says he will come back for her. Dare Helene fall in love with this foreigner? Will he survive? In war, love is the only thing you can trust....

A multi-award-winning actress and best-selling author of the Olive Series, Carol Drinkwater expertly weaves historical nuance into a timeless narrative of the power of true love.

Excellent

Its Carol Drinkwater. Enough said. Excellent writer, excellent narrator. She does her homework. Very well done research for the background. Just because it is fiction, does not mean, it is not backed up by historical events.
