What a great way to listen to the Bible. I enjoyed it and it brought new things to light that even though I've read through the Bible several times, this causes things to really pop out.

This starts with June, but I want to go back to February and I can’t .

This Bible Version is superb. It is easy to understand and makes the scriptures come to life for the listener.

Review for entire Bible

Who can review the Bible? My review is only of the narration.

I loved the narrator and his calm voice. I missed hearing the verses labeled as they were read though. If I found a verse inspiring and wanted to take note of it, I had to go to the kindle version and look it up.
I didn’t follow the daily reading schedule but listen to as much as my schedule allowed each day.

There were just a few strange sounds near the end of Revelation that sounded very harsh to my ears. Similar to a fax machine I guess.

Nice to have the Bible as an audiobook. With ADHD, it took me 5 years to read the Bible myself, but I can listen to it within a few days time now.

NLT's an okay paraphrase translation IMO, and the voice acting is good.

Good surface reading, not for study.

I listened to the audiobook version of this to help keep me in the Word on a regular basis. I’ve read through the Bible before, but never chronologically, so this was a new approach. While, at times, I felt bogged down in some of the Old Testament areas, I did find it interesting to hear the subtle differences more clearly in the Gospels. After having gone through it chronologically now, I think I prefer the method of reading partial Old Testament with New Testament to keep things balanced. But that’s just my personal taste. The narrator did a good job overall but didn’t change inflection or styles when reading as different characters. He took a more steady tone with only a minor passion or expression used. (I much prefer David Suchet’s reading.) As far as the NLT (translation) goes, I found it sided more on ease of readability than on accuracy. This isn’t for those who want to study the scriptures, but for those wanting routine exposure to it on a simpler level. Especially true for those of us who went with the audiobook reading. I recommend this for people wanting a way to stay in the Word more as a refresher—assuming you have prior knowledge of it—not as a replacement for a deeper study and more enriching understanding.

Enjoying audio and ebook

I am really enjoying this. I read on my kindle and listen to audio on audible at same time. I find I retain it better that way. My brain is aging and simply reading is difficult these days.
