About this listen
“A powerful work with insights that, once applied, will help you lift your life to a completely new level.” (Robin Sharma, number-one best-selling author of The 5AM Club and The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari)
Kat has it all - money, success, recognition, influence - except the one thing she desperately desires: a fulfilled life. A business entrepreneur in the high-end sportswear industry, Kat is driven in relentless pursuit of ever-greater success.
The two anchors in Kat's frenzied life have been her father, a famous baseball pitcher turned team manager, and her son, who is following in his grandfather's footsteps. When both anchors become unstable, Kat's life tips dangerously out of balance. The market and her finances flip, and relationships start slipping through her fingers. Eager for solutions, she turns to find uncanny wisdom from places she never expected.
The Observer unpacks the idea of 180-degree thinking, which changes everything for Kat. Now, seemingly impossible goals now come into focus with crystal clear clarity. As Kat focuses on the right things, the impossible becomes her new reality.
Imparted with truth and wisdom, The Observer is a classic for discovering the peak performer within yourself. This timeless story of success principles is more important today than it has ever been before as uncertainty lurks right around the corner.

Neurological research definitively and repeatedly concludes that there is a bottleneck in our cognitive function - when we do more than one thing at a time, we become less efficient and more error‑prone. Our systems get overloaded and we crash. In fact, we are actually wired to monotask - to give dedicated focus to one task at a time. Whether you call it monotasking, mindfulness, being present, or any other name, the goal is the same: Give your focus to one thing at a time and do it with your all.

Genuine. Easy read! Great reflections and life lessons!
I pre-ordered this book and I’m so glad I did! I had the pleasure of learning from Todd last year, loved his book “Relentless Success” and really resonated with the life lessons he shared through the main character (Kat) and her son. I wish I had this book 10 years ago as I was raising 3 daughters and running a hundred miles a minute as a workaholic. I know you’ll love it as much as I did!

Couldn’t put the book down
The Observer is an amazing guide with practical tips and role play scenarios to put into action. I found myself in so many of the situations Kat was dealing with. To then take an observer look at my own life, seeing the opportunities for growth and having the foundation to build upon them and take action. Thank you Todd for putting these practices into a media I could place myself in, in order to take clear direction and action!!

This Right Here!!!
I read a lot of personal development books and listen to a lot of Audio. People from Robin Sharma, Grant Cardone, Gary Vee to name a few. I really like when a book can tell a story and also teach you something. Like " The Traveler's Gift" From Andy Andrews and " The 5 AM Club" By Robin Sharma. Well that's what I got from "The Observer: A Modern Fable on Mastering Your Thoughts & Emotions" A great story and a lesson that I needed to hear and be reminded of. This is the second book of Todd Stottlemyre. I was also a big fan of his first book " Relentless Success" Which I would check out if you haven't. Todd keeps it real and is honest with this book. He pretty much tells you his life story through Kat. Doesn't hide anything. He's honest which is something you don't see that often. I highly recommend " The Observer"

A Powerful and Insightful Guide
A Powerful and Insightful Guide,
This story is not just a story but an informative guide, filled with examples on how to understand who you are, why you do what you do, and how & why to change. Developed with a detailed and progressive understanding of what to do, and what it takes to completely level up your personal development, values, and fundamentals.
—-1 thing I had to remind myself, is that I don’t need to fully relate to the characters, the point is to find a similar reflection of various experiences in my life and my experiences so that I can relate to the all too common human experiences we have, whether rich or poor.
Enjoy!

Great principles
While I don’t normally like fables, I thought the author did a great job telling the this story and aligning it with the learnings. Part of me would have preferred the author’s true story instead of the fable but still a really good read.
