Like 10% plot

Don’t get me wrong I love a smutty book but I was really expecting more of a plot with this series. It’s basically 90% smut and the scenes aren’t even that great. I’m halfway and feel 0 attachment to either of mmcs. I’m glad I bought this on super sale because I would have been upset I spent a credit on it. I won’t be listening to the other two

I enjoyed the narration and story genre, unique and lots of sub plots. Very descriptive sex scenes !

Non-con and flat out rape? Where were the trigger warnings?

I literally played this audio just long enough to leave this review so no one else gets the surpriseI did. I will be returning this title. I'm thouroughly irritated that Audible didn't offer any ⚠️trigger warnings⚠️ No judgement. If you enjoy fantasy with detailed descriptions of non consent, drugged rape, and somewhat violent rape then this book/series is for you. This rating is for Audible and not the writer or vocal actor(s). They were fine. What gives Audible?

I'm into kink, so the 3rd story appealed the most.

I think it was very well crafted bunch of stories. I could've gotten to know the characters better. But I felt their stories were well told even w/o a bunch of back story. the sex was good and hot, never forced and the story never drug. I think it likely I'll be giving these a re-read soon!

Honestly my favorite was the second and third book in the series the first one was good but definitely loved the others ones more.

Amazing performance for a super interesting set of stories

Right away, the Phoenix and his prince was hands down my favorite, I'm a sucker for their dynamic and book 1 sets up the second book so well. The voices fit the characters so well and really capture what is going on in the moment and the exasperation at times. All the books are great for monster-f#####s, lol! Great xxx scenes, super cute build ups to romance in each and I felt every book was rewarding to listen to for the outcomes. Would love to see more for this series one day.

A Trio of Connected Stories

While listening to the first story I evaluated Monster’s Pets as an immature offering of words. However, I found the second story better and connected to the first. And the third story was very good, well written and well narrated. And it’s a great deal of MM fantasy is a genre you enjoy. Three books for one credit.
So rather than 3 stars for a just okay rating, I ended up liking these connected stories very much. Thus I am going to look into other books by this author.

Unexpectedly Great Monsters and Pets

It's been a long time since I've read a series where each book was better than the last. Actually, I don't like judgements like that so it's more like, I *like* each book more than the last, and that's what I really mean when I say better.

Every monster is better. Every pet is better. The meanings are better each time. The stories are better each time, the enemies are better each time, and I'm about to devour the standalone.

The stories are both funny and continually sexy. It is very very very hard for me to find a sex filled story that sounds wonderful, and the sex gets better along with it.

Clarke brings these characters to life. If they all said the same sentence, I'll know which is which, which is very rare with stories with so much sex and I loooove it.

This will join exactly one other series in the repeat pile. And that other series' narrator doesn't hold a candle to this dude! All I want is a lotta sex and a great fantasy story and I got three amazing ones!
