Loved the story
The book was a bit slow at first. I had to speed up the narration. However after a few chapters I was hooked. The relationship between Patience and Bitsy was bittersweet by the end.

I love Midwifery
I worked with newborns and children for so many years I loved this book.The place is slow, but held my interest. I couldn't wait for each delivery and what happens with the newborn, family, and believe it or not what food was given in payment.

A very enjoyable book to read or listen to!!
I read this book a while back and my mom and my sister read it and each and everyone of us enjoyed it thoroughly! Then when I saw that there was an audible book out about it, I was very anxious to listen it! I was very pleased with narration and look forward to the next book. It is a book that keeps your interest right from the start. Well it's over now and time to start the next book, and I'm sure it will be as good as the last one. Thank you Patricia Harman!!! Good story
I really enjoyed this. Lots of good stuff. I particularly liked the herbal medicine references which were accurate and well done. Worth the listen for sure.
