This is as near a perfect story as there can be: it's entertaining, and it depicts in an allegorical way that's not at all didactic the deepest truths about true love. The prince is a passionate lover, and yet, the good of his beloved comes before anything else - which makes his love truly pure and all the more attractive.The true nature of love depicted here
