About the author: His Holiness Pope Shenouda III was the 117th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St Mark. He shepherded the Coptic Orthodox Church for over 40 years before he departed this life in 2012. A charismatic preacher and prolific writer, The Life of Repentance and Purity is one of the earlier books he published in Arabic during his papacy.

Their sole aim was to draw closer to God through their labours.
