About this listen

A warrior who has sworn never to love again.... A hapless girl, kidnapped and sold at auction.... When Need buys Lan'ara, he swears not to love her. But can he keep his promise?

Listen to The Kindred Warrior's Captive Bride to find out!

Needrix is a Kindred warrior with a tragic past. After losing his pregnant mate during childbirth, he has sworn never to even look at another female again. So he tells himself to ignore the auction going on where a lovely young woman is being sold. But when Need's disgusting crewmate, a three-headed Trollox called Drung, starts bidding on her, he knows he can't abandon her to such a cruel fate. Need buys the hapless girl, swearing he won't fall in love with her and planning to get rid of her as soon as possible.

Lan'ara is a graduate of the elite Twyleth Tigg Academy - a finishing school where beautiful young ladies of good breeding are trained to be the wives and concubines of the richest and most influential men in the galaxy. But on graduation night, the school was raided by a band of pirates who stole her away and auctioned her off. Now she finds herself the property of a surly Kindred warrior who has vowed never to touch or love her. He even promises to bring her back to the man who bought her contract in the first place. So her life should be back on track, right? Wrong.

Neither Lan'ara or Need knows that she has been injected with the Lust Bacterium, a compound that causes her to need his touch. As her touch cravings grow stronger, Lan'ara finds herself turning to the big Kindred more and more. And Need finds it harder and harder to resist falling for the beautiful female he has rescued. But Drung the Trollox still wants her for his own.

Unbelievably Stupid

This would have been a great storyline had Lannara not been so stupid. Could not fathom anyone being as stupid as this character. It was quite a interesting story; always love the Kindred warrior, especially when he goes into rage. Narrator does a great job with characters.

The passion

I loved the passion and love building, even to the knowing heartbreak to heal what was broken.

Addicting storyline!!!

This book was a rare find!! First it is long which I love. Second it had suspense that will have you telling charactors not to be stupid! This is my second book on Kindred warriors which I have fallen in love with! I mean how can you not fall in love with men who worship their women!! I think this is a great find and highly recommend it to other mature readers!

Did She Forgive Too Easily?

I enjoyed listening to Captive Bride, but it nagged at me that she might have forgiven him too easily. She had really bad things happen because of her Kindred; a nasty three-headed monster or an old guy. But maybe she is just a better woman than I am. There were lots of emotional twists and turns throughout this book and there were many times when I didn’t know what was going to happen. This audiobook was darker than the other Kindred books but it was an enjoyable listen.

I can recommend this audio to anyone who enjoys science fiction romance and Evangeline Anderson’s books. The narration by Mackenzie Cartwright was also good.

Childish games

I enjoy the worlds E.A. has created in the Kindred world, but I must admit I'm tired of every female lead acting like a teenager instead of an adult when it comes to sex. "I won't be able to sleep if my back is dirty. Can you help?" "I think I need more healing down there. Can you heal me some more?" The majority of the author's books have females acting and talking this way. It is possible for a woman to express her wants and needs without sounding like an inexperienced horny teen or wonton hussy. E.A. has such a talent for storytelling. I wish she would be more creative with female leads and have them behave more mature. Also, she seems to always have leading male who for whatever reason has vowed never to bond. I sometimes feel like she uses the same story template and just makes changes to names and places. Aside from this I did like the rest of the story. I know it doesn't sound like it, but the worlds and cultures are fun and creative.

🌻Too stupid to continue 🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I had listened to some of the original Kindred warrior books, so I thought I’d like this. BOY WAS I WRONG! Between flowers performing oral sex and nipples of a virgin leaking honey that were painful without being sucked, I could not continue. This was worse then a 70s B rated porn. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR CREDIT. I’m getting mine back!
