Classic.

Great story, however it does drag at times but this is just the period it was conceived. Overall, it is well-deserving of its status as a classic.

Poor Reading

Would you try another book from H. G. Wells and/or Alan Munro?

Not Alan Munroe--Wells, yes.

What didn’t you like about Alan Munro’s performance?

He keeps pausing in mid-sentence. I didn't make it to the end of a great story!

Don't understand why it's a classic

It was tolerable and an ok story but not my favorite. Kind of dull and boring. Will not be looking into other H.G. Wells stories.

the last half is really good.

It starts getting better around chapter 12, But it really picks up the pace around chapter 23.

Poor narrator.

Narrative managed to shoot, what should have been an interesting story, right between the eyes!

Might be better if I hadn't seen the movie

I think the book would have been more interesting if I hadn't seen the movie.

Interesting, well written, and well told

I liked the book very much I had to read it for my school but enjoyed doing so I would definitely recommend this book to 11+ because even for me an 8th grader I had some times where I was confused or didn’t understand a word

A great story

This is a great story, but the narration isn't top notch. That being said, it's definitely worth a listen!

Choose Another Version

Good sound quality, but the narration spoiled this classic for me. Random pauses after articles and before and after prepositions started to grate. Juvenile sound effects at certain points were cringeworthy.

H G wells knows great storytelling

It was about invisibly and the reaction of a town and how they delta with it. Cool characters and storytelling without forcing complicated theories
